Being from Haiti, I learned early on that Haitian food is the core of the family. The smells of fresh herbs and Haitian seasonings as my grandmother, aunts and mother cook fills my heart every day and became a staple in my family. As I left my home country of Haiti at the age of 9, I started spending more time in the kitchen and then worked in Haitian restaurants in Miami, Florida. My love of our food and passion continued to grow. After high school I moved to California for college and introduced Haitian cuisine to friends and other families. As I fill order after order, I discovered the lack of authentic Haitian cuisine in Northern California. I want to share the love and passion that I have for my culture by bringing the best of Haitian recipes to California.
